The luscious, rich, enticing nose displays dried fruits, apricots and peaches, on a backdrop of honey and a little spice. The prevailing impression is of rich, candied, dried fruits. On the palate it is succulent and mouth coating with an extraordinary sweetness and richness. Very ripe stone fruit characters dominate, especially apricots and peaches, with hints of passionfruit and citrus. Honey is readily apparent and also a lovely almost almondy character that adds a real texture to the palate. It has bright, beautifully appealing, well balanced acidity, a lusciously creamy sweetness and an incredibly lingering, crisp, clean finish. Already drinking beautifully, this wine promises to develop even more complexity and charm given careful cellaring.
